This is our first first news bulletin of 2014 and for many of you the first working day of the new year. There will be some catching up if you haven't been following the news items. Just click on the NEWS tab and follow the archived news items that you might have missed, as there has been some wonderful new material uploaded during the holiday period.

It is fitting that we kick our first news item of 2014 off with South Africa's most iconic pass - the mighty Sani Pass in KZN. Almost two hours of footage had to be edited down into 2 x 5 minute video clips and still bring the essence of the Sani to life. (Expand this page for the links)

Here are the links:

Sani Pass (Part 1) covers the foothills from Sani Pass Hotel to the SA border control point

Sani Pass (Part 2) covers the second, more serious half from the SA border control point to the summit at the Lesotho border control point.

Sani Mountain Lodge is a short video overview of the lodge and the highest pub in Africa. It has had a name change from Sani Top Chalets to Sani Mountain Lodge. (YouTube external link - remember to return to this site!)

The Rooinek Pass is another new pass produced this week. It lies just south of Laingsburg.

Our final Lesotho tour video from Ongeluksnek to Semongkong has also just been uploaded. (YouTube external link - Remember to return to this site!)

Enjoy the cyber driving! We are currently almost complete with our two part series production on the fabulous Seweweeks Poort in the Swartberg Mountains which will be ready to roll by Wednesday this week.

We wish all our followers a prosperous and safe 2014.

Master Orientation Map

Master Orientation Map We are as passionate about maps as we are about mountain passes. A good map is a thing of beauty that can transport you into the mists of time or get your sense of adventure churning. It is a place to make discoveries about deserts and seas, mountains and lakes; of roads leading into places you have not been before; a place to pore over holiday destinations or weekend camping trips. A map is your window to the world.
