1. Kowyns Pass - A serious tarred pass between Graskop and Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga. A land of misty mountains and waterfalls. Fabulous.
2. Baviaans-Kouga 4x4 - A big offroad drive in the Eastern Cape of 70 km connecting Kareedouw with the central Baviaanskloof. Not many people have tackled this route. It's a gem.
3. Tyger Valley Road - A 'suburban pass' close to Cape Town with wine estates, olives and MTB tracks being the attraction.
Later this week we will be bringing you another trio of interesting passes as we scour the countryside for new and interesting places to travel. Many thanks to all the people who have "liked" us on Face Book and to the hundreds who have subscribed to our site. Without you, we are nothing!

Africa today - an exciting continent

My jaw dropped when I saw this old Isuzu bakkie (ute) carting an entire car (sans engine) on its load bay, attached with a single webbing strap. The Isuzu's front wheels were barely on the ground and the driver was clearly having some difficulty controlling his steed. Not a traffic officer in sight. The first long weekend is done and dusted. Next is the school holidays. This week we have a very interesting mix of passes for you.
